This handbook has been designed for all young people (defined as adolescents and youth ages 10-24 ) who are taking part in or wish to take part in humanitarian action. Whether your community has been affected by a crisis, you want to help people seeking refuge, or you have specific skills you want to volunteer, this guide will provide valuable insights.

This resource was developed to support the implementation of the IASC Guidelines on Working with and for Young People in Humanitarian Action. The Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) is the longest-standing and highest-level humanitarian coordination forum of the United Nations system, ensuring the information is credible and aligned with global best practices.
