About the 13th ASEF Public Diplomacy Training (ASEFPDT13)
The 13th ASEF Public Diplomacy Training (ASEFPDT13) is a highly-regarded program designed to enhance the skills of diplomats in the field of public diplomacy. This year’s theme is “Governance,” offering a deep dive into effective strategies for public engagement and communication.
The program features a hybrid structure:
- Online Course: A mandatory five-week online course will run from 15 September to 20 October 2025.
- Face-to-Face Training: The program culminates in an intensive, one-week, in-person training from 1-5 December 2025 in Singapore.
Who is Eligible?
This Public Diplomacy Training is tailored for early- to mid-career diplomats. To be eligible, you must be:
- A diplomat from an eligible Asian or European ASEM Partner country, working in departments that deal with Asia, Europe, or ASEM.
- In possession of an MA degree (or equivalent), or a BA degree with at least 3 years of diplomatic work experience.
- Highly proficient in English.
A Fully Funded Opportunity
This is a significant opportunity with no registration or participation fees. For selected participants, the organizers will cover all travel (subject to a ceiling) and accommodation expenses for the face-to-face training in Singapore.
