The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is inviting applications for the Asia-Europe Training and Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy 2025, a fully funded, hybrid program designed to cultivate the next generation of global leaders.

What is the Program About?

The core objective of this initiative is to build expertise in the crucial field of Science and Technology Diplomacy. Participants will explore how scientific collaboration can address global challenges and build bridges between nations. The program is designed to strengthen intercultural communication and connect young, talented individuals from across Asia and Europe.

Program Structure: A Hybrid Approach

This Science and Technology Diplomacy program is delivered in two comprehensive parts:

  • Part 1: Online Training (October – November 2025): A 7-week, in-depth online course where participants will learn the fundamentals of Science Diplomacy from leading experts.
  • Part 2: In-Person Summit (December 2025): A 5-day Youth Summit held in Copenhagen, Denmark, where participants will apply their knowledge, collaborate on projects, and network with peers and senior professionals.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

The program is looking for motivated young leaders. Eligibility criteria include:

  • Citizens of any of the ASEM Partner countries.
  • Students and professionals up to 35 years of age.
  • A strong background in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), International Relations, Public Policy, or other related disciplines.

A Fully Funded Opportunity

This is a fully funded program with no registration fee. For the in-person summit in Copenhagen, ASEF will cover the costs of accommodation and meals and will also provide travel subsidies for all selected participants.
